Kevin O'Brien, D.O.
12 Years With West Orlando Pediatrics
West Orlando Pediatrics welcomed Dr. Kevin O’Brien in 2013. After Dr. Yarckin’s retirement in 2024, Dr. O’Brien is only the second physician owner of this small independent practice that dates back to 1985! Moving from New Jersey to Florida in 2002 to attend the University of Miami, Dr. O’Brien is proud to claim Florida as his home, having lived here since that time. Shortly after completing residency at Orlando Health’s Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, Kevin and his wife Nicole welcomed the birth of their son. Family is very important to Dr. O’Brien, and he owes his generally positive disposition to his wife and the household in which he was raised. Dr. O’Brien is an avid runner, and can frequently be seen running on the West Orange Trail and the dirt roads of Windermere. He loves to travel, having been to Australia (twice!), Ecuador, and nearly a dozen countries in Europe, with plans to ultimately expand that list to all of the continents.
Among the usual competencies of pediatricians, Dr. O’Brien considers himself especially an expert in the care of the neurodivergent child and preemie infants as he has personal experience with both conditions. Not a huge fan of doctors’ offices himself, Dr. O’Brien employs a laid back, calm demeanor to help patients feel comfortable and parents to feel heard. Community is important, and Dr. O’Brien loves seeing patients out and about, whether at the theme parks or grabbing ice cream in downtown Winter Garden. He is a Board Certified Pediatrician, and a proud member of the West Orange Chamber of Commerce.

Lisa Hamilton, CRNP, CLC
Joined us in 2024
Lisa earned her Doctorate in Pediatric Nursing from the University of Florida. With a background in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Lisa specializes in high-risk deliveries, Pediatric Endocrinology, and adolescent Gynecology. Her expertise has been recognized through publication in Women’s Health. Her goal is simple yet profound: to assist children and families in attaining optimal health and wellness. She believes in promoting balance, academic success, and instilling confidence in her young patients.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Lisa finds joys in various activities. You might catch her running alongside her son, cheering at his jiu-jitsu practice, engrossed in a good book, preserving memories through scrapbooking, or passionately supporting her favorite college football team.
Family is so important to Lisa. If granted a day with anyone dead or alive, Lisa would negotiate for two days. She would spend her first day with her grandparents sharing the wisdom she now possesses and expressing deep gratitude for their influence and that she thinks of them often. Her second day she would spend with her mother and sister as she does not have enough time with them.
If not in the realm of pediatric nursing, Lisa’s alternate paths would led her to teaching physical education or kindergarten, driven by her innate desire to nurture and educate young minds.
